New Delhi, 28th August 2021: Cases of e-KYC and related frauds have increased rapidly in India in the last several months. In such a situation, there is a need to be very careful while making online payments. In order to curb online fraud cases, the Cybercrime Department of Delhi Police has issued a number on which people can call and file a complaint of online fraud.

Delhi Police has issued number 155260. On this number people can register complaints of fraud online. Police say that the person who has been a victim of online fraud will be given full help. You can also get money back by calling this number immediately. The helpline numbers can be used in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Telangana and Uttarakhand. Helpline number is connected with these banks and e-wallets

According to the Ministry of Home Affairs, the helpline number is linked to almost all banks and e-wallets in the government-private sector. These include SBI, Punjab National, Bank of Baroda, Bank of India, Union, HDFC, ICICI, Axis, Yes and Kotak Mahindra Bank as well as e-wallets such as Paytm, PhonePe, MobiKwik, Flipkart and Amazon.

Keep these things in mind while doing online transaction

1.Do not use Public Wi-Fi or Cyber Cafe for payment: – If you have to keep your bank deposits safe, then do not forget to use Public Wi-Fi and Cyber Cafe. Failure to do so may result in emptying your bank account. Keep in mind that always make online payments through your private Wi-Fi or mobile network. Also, clear the cache memory as well. With this, the amount deposited in your bank account will be safe.

2.Avoid saving your card details :- It has been seen that people save their card details in a hurry on online platforms to make online payments after making purchases. Doing so can prove to be dangerous. Always keep in mind not to enter your card details after doing online transactions. If card information has been entered, delete it immediately. By doing this hackers will not access your bank account.

3.Pay attention to the URL of the website: – While making online payment, definitely pay attention to the URL of the website. URL should be Https instead of Http. Here S means this website is secure. You can make payment from here. If S does not appear in the URL, then don’t forget to do online transactions from there.
