RAMBAN, OCTOBER 09, 2020: District Development Commissioner (DDC), Ramban, Nazim Zai Khan, today visited several Panchayats of far flung block Rajgarh in connection with the Back to Village-III program and listened to issues of people besides redressing the same at their doorstep.

The People lauded the positive impact of the program on the implementation of government schemes and evolving a vibrant Panchayati Raj system imperative for bringing to the rural and far-flung areas.

Assistant Commissioner Development, Zameer Ahmed Rishi, CMO Dr. Mohammad Fareed Bhat, BDOs, PRIs and other officers and officials of various departments attended the meetings.

The DDC listened to the issues highlighted by the PRIs and general public at Jatgali, Rajgarh, Kumete, Ghari, Dhraman, Biprota and other Panchayats of block Rajgarh. He said that administration has taken keen interest to strengthen Panchayati Raj Institutions for ensuring development in every knock and corner of the district.

He stressed upon the officers, PRIs to ensure participatory development of the Panchayats by involving people from all walks of life in the planning and development process.

Earlier, Public of Rajgarh thanked the DDC for meeting their long pending demands highlighted in previous Back to village program, including blacktopping of Rajgarh road, installation of 100 KVA transformers besides starting SRTC bus service to the area.

PRIs and other people highlighted their demands, including bringing Sushater, Chaka Kundi and Bibrota Panchayats under the jurisdiction of RDD and other departments of Ramban district from Doda District.

They also demanded PHC for Jatgali, completion of Panchayat Ghar at Jatgali, up-gradation of Rajgarh electric feeder, Up-gradation of Middle School Hiller to High School, check on overcharging by transporters operating service in Rajgarh area, provision of timber depot, receiving station at Rajgarh, installation of hand pumps in the area, dental doctor for Rajgah hospital, and repair of Bridge over Rajgah Nallah.

The farmers demanded opening of Agriculture Sub Centre and seed store at Rajgarh, deployment of doctors in Sheep and Animal husbandry dispensaries, construction of roads, shortage of staff in schools and health institutions, augmentation of water supply schemes and old age and widow pension for all eligible persons of the area besides other basic facilities.

The DDC directed the PHE department to cover all the households of Rajgarh block under Jal Jeevan Mission, while the CMO was directed to recommend Allopathic dispensaries for Jatgali and Biprota Panchayats.

Visiting officers were directed to note down the demands of the public, especially the receiving station in Rajgarh.

Responding to the demands and issues, the DDC directed the ARTO to rationalize the fare in Rajgarh area. The DSWO was directed to speed up the process for clearance of old age and widow pension cases.
