Raipur, 13th April 2021: In Chhattisgarh, the situation has become uncontrollable due to the pandemic. Despite many restrictions in the state, new cases of corona infection are increasing. The death toll is also increasing rapidly. Meanwhile, the state government has also acknowledged that the situation is critical and the number of positive the case rate is also increasing.

Health minister TS Singh Dev of Chhattisgarh has said that some of the ventilators sent by the central government are not working.
Due to increasing cases of corona in In Chhattisgarh, a large number of dead bodies are kept in the morgue. Scaring pictures are coming out from many districts. More than 100 dead bodies are being cremated daily in Raipur for the last two days.

The minisyer said, “The situation is critical. Cases have increased, the number of positive cases has also increased. It cannot be said whether the Center intentionally sent some bad ventilators or not, but some ventilators are still not working.”

He further said that the responsibility of the Health Department is to take care of the patients, we cannot make other arrangements. I talked to the district administration about this. Further arrangements have been made to keep the bodies.

A large number of bodies are kept in the morgue of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Hospital, the largest government hospital in the state. At the same time, the number of cremation ghats is being increased in Raipur city. The funeral process is complete even at night Hindus usually have a tradition of not burning the dead body at night, but now the process of cremation is being done at night.

Corporations have been asked to complete the process of cremation of the dead bodies at the earliest. In Chhattisgarh, 861 people have died from the start of this month till Monday.

These include 305 deaths in Raipur district and 213 deaths in Durg district. Minister Singh Dev said that cases of infection have increased in the state, so the number of deaths has also increased.

Additional Commissioner of Raipur Municipal Corporation, Pulak Bhattacharya said that 100 dead bodies were cremated every day in Raipur for the last two days. He informed that the number of dead bodies has also been increased in the city so that the bodies can be taken to the crematorium without delay. Bhattacharya said that there were 40 bodies in the morgue of Ambedkar Hospital on Monday. He said that these bodies belonged to people who lost their lives to Covid-19 and other diseases.

He said that although this number is over capacity and arrangements are being made to cremate the dead bodies at the earliest. State officials said that in view of the increase in death of corona virus-infected people in the state, electric crematoriums are being built-in Raipur and other districts.
