Patna, January 16, 2021: Under the National Health Mission, the State Health Committee, Bihar has started the application process for the Community Health Certificate course from today, 15 January 2021. The duration of the course will be six months and will be conducted through IGNOU.

Candidates who have completed this course will be appointed as Community Health Officers (CHOs) in health and wellness centres located in different districts of the state. The CHO will appoint the teams of female health workers, male health workers, and Asha workers, etc. at the deployment centres to take the lead. Candidates wishing to apply for Bihar NHM CHO Recruitment 2021 can apply by visiting the official website of the committee, statehealthsocietybihar.org. The application process will continue till 4 February 2021.

Who can apply?

Those candidates who have passed GNM or B.Sc nursing degree from a recognized institute are eligible to apply for the Bihar NHM CHO Recruitment 2021. Also, the age of the candidates must be a minimum of 21 years and a maximum of 42 years as of 1 January 2021. There is provision for relaxation of the maximum age limit for the candidates belonging to the reserved categories.

Selection Process: Candidates will be selected on the basis of Computer-Based Examination (CBT). To be successful, candidates have to receive a minimum score of 30 percent. Out of all the successful candidates, the candidates will be invited for document verification on the basis of merit.

Salary: During the six-month course, the selected candidates will be provided with a stipend of Rs.10,000 per month for their boarding/lodging expenses. Course fees and other expenses will be borne by the committee. At the same time, after appointment as CHO, a salary of 25 thousand rupees per month and a maximum of 15 thousand rupees per month as incentives will be given.
