Patna, May 5, 2021: As many as 14,962 patients suffering from COVID-19 recovered in the last 24 hours in the state. As per data provided by the Bihar Health Department 79.97 per cent recovery rate has been registered.

As per data provided by the health department, 12,948 new Corona infects are identified. In the last 24 hours, 1.08 lakh samples were examined. Patna has the highest number of 2498 new infections. While 740 in Nalanda, 586 in Begusarai, 578 in West Champaran and 560 in Samastipur registered new positive cases in the last 24 hours.

As per data provided by State Health Department, Araria 179, Arwal 119, Aurangabad 380, Banka 151, Begusarai 586, Bhagalpur 316, Bhojpur 160, Buxar 166, Darbhanga 166, East Champaran 343, Gaya 419, Gopalganj 165, Jamui 205, Jehanabad 77, Kaimur 65, Katihar 458, Khagaria 227, Kishanganj 138, Lakhisarai 75, Madhepura 148, Madhubani 402, Munger 242, Muzaffarpur 480, Nalanda 740, Nawada 150, Patna 2498, Punia 312, Rohtas 207, Saharsa 361, Samastipur 560, Saran 364, Sheikhpura 238, Sheohar 96, Sitamarhi 104, Siwan 218, Supaul 309, Vaishali 481 and West Champaran 578 new cases found. Also, 81 samples collected from persons of other states in the last 24 hours.
