Patna, May 5, 2021: As many as 11,726 patients suffering from COVID-19 recovered in the last 24 hours in the state. As per data provided by the Bihar Health Department 78.38 per cent recovery rate has been registered.

On Wednesday, 14,816 new Corona infects were identified. In the last 24 hours, 95,248 samples were examined. The rate of corona infection in the state is 15.55 per cent. Whereas 14,836 new corona were found infected and a 15.59 per cent infection rate was detected in 94,891 samples in the state a day earlier.

Patna has the highest number of 2420 new infections. While 857 new cases identified in Vaishali, 587 in Gaya, 587 in Muzaffarpur, 671 in Nalanda, 635 in Samastipur, 528 in Saran, 631 in Sheikhpura and 655 in West Champaran.

As per data provided by State Health Department, Araria 184, Arwal 143, Aurangabad 444, Banka 122, Begusarai 477, Bahgalpur 373, 109, Buxar 87, Darbhanga 164, East Champaran 224, Gaya 587, Gopalganj 305, Jamui 281, Jehanabad 105, Kaimur 124, Katihar 570, Khagaria 273, Kishanganj 221, Lakhisari 80, Madhepura 247, Madhubani 385, Munger 380, Muzaffarpur 574, Nalanda 671, Nawada 129, Patna 2420, Purnia 333, Rohtas 174, Saharsa 359, Samastipur 635, Saran 528, Sheikhpura 631, Sheohar 114, Sitamarhi 204, Siwan 219, Supaul 362, Vaishali 857, West Champaran 655 new cases found. Also, 86 samples were collected from persons of other state.
