New Delhi, 18th June 2022: Issuing a warning to the youth who took to the streets to protest against the Agnipath recruitment scheme, Air Chief Marshal VR Choudhary said that the candidates who participated in the demonstration may suffer a big loss later because if the police verification is not cleared further, then they will not get a job.
According to India Today, Air Chief Marshal VR Choudhary said, “We condemn this kind of violence. This is not a solution. The last step is police verification. If anyone is involved in this protest, they will not get clearance from the police.”
The government on Saturday made a big announcement for the future Agniveers. There will be a 10 per cent reservation in Assam Rifles and CAPF recruitment from the Ministry of Home Affairs. At the same time, the Ministry of Defense has also announced to give a 10 per cent reservation for jobs in its department.
On the other hand, Sports Minister Anurag Thakur has said that he is contemplating including youth in the Sports Ministry for the future Agniveers.
